Problem with Split Second FTC???

Problem with Split Second FTC???
I just installed the URD fuel kit on my 99 Limited. Installed everything as the directions say. The problem is, the day after I installed everything I went to tune the truck and the FTC box wasn't having it. :pat: Everytime I plugged the serail cable into the box and then my computer, it would make the screeen on the laptop go crazy and freeeze 
. The only way to remedy the problem was the unplug the cable. This would free up the computer.
So at this point, the URD kit is installed and I am running the preloaded software. I need to tune the vehicle, but might have a faulty FTC???

Thank you Gadget. The problem is I have connected the serial cable to the FTC before the computer finished booting up. This caused the computer to try to install a mouse driver I did not need and made my cursor crazy.
