pp springs worth it for a 99?

just wondering if pp springs will give a '99 any lift. i see most people get 1.5" out of them but with 96-98 runners. im told '99's sit higher to begin with so would it be worth it at all to run pp springs? originally i was planning to do an SS#7 lift with 33's but i dont do enough wheeling to justify the cost and adverse affects to fuel economy. im thinking my money would be better spent on a mild lift and a locker for the rear. what do you guys think? also i tow with it. how well do pp springs handle weight in the rear?

You could always try an OME lift like I put on mine.
You'll get a slight lift and it's decent for towing, but if you tow alot just use 890's in the rear.

You get an inch or a bit more. Another 1/2 with 265 75s. it is noticeable and still drives like it did. I havent loaded my trailer yet but Those springs will take some weight for sure.

If you're asking me, just click on my signature then you can read what I have and see how it'll look.
Not running anything extra on mine (ie no diff drop, panhard bar, extended brake line, etc)

You also get better handling with the PP coils not just lift.

I just had my pp coils and trekmasters installed on my 97 with 165k and the ride is great. I know my springs, shocks and bushings were toast for a while, but I am really enjoying the ride now. much less body roll and dive when braking. My truck used to "skip" when hitting rough road while turning but not any more. Also less abs on the road. I wish I had done it a few years ago.

No diff drop or anything else needed. No issues for me at this time...that I know of. Still working on an engine rough idle/vibration.

Will the PP springs give more lift than a new set of stock 99 springs?

Not sure how much lift you'd get on a 99 but here is a pick of my 2000 with the PP lift and 265/75/16 tires. It sits about 2.5" higher than it did with my worn out springs.

see if you can get some rim to fender meaurements off of those who run the pp springs. then compare that to what you have now.

Below are the measurements I got from the PP springs. The driver's side sits a little lower than the passenger, but it's not noticable to the naked eye. I forgot to measure before I had them put on. I am also running trekmasters with Nitto 265/75/16 tires, and the ride is much better than stock. Click the link and 01Runner folder to see the before and after.

DS Front - 36 1/16
PS Front - 36 3/8 (6/16)

DS Rear - 36 1/2 (8/16)
PS Rear - 36 7/8 (14/16)

I replaced my '99s stock taller coils with a new set about a year ago and my Runner is sitting at just under 36" in the front and right at 36" in the rear.

The better place to measure from is the center of you wheel hub to the flare lip which takes out tire size altogether and possible tire pressure differences.

I think mine is 21" up front and 21.5" in the rear measured from the hubs.
