power steering and vacuum tubes

with a third engine, my 4runner is finally running ok, but i do have a leak in the power steering. I fill it up, and it works for a day and then its gone. it leaks alot but doesnt seem like its the whole resivour coming out. it seems to be leaking out of this peice in the back that threads in and has two nipples on it that connect to hoses that go somewhere towards the engine. if someone knows what part im talking about, what the heck does it do, and could this be whats leaking? also there are some vacuum tubes that arent on the diagram under my hood and i dont think they are hooked up right. ones after the canister, and also some more that are hooked to some kind of sensors (orange and blue) on the passenger side. ive searched and cant seem to find anything, any help would be greatly appreciated. if pics would help, i can get some.

If I am picturing it correctly in my head, it sounds like the high pressure or the return hose (from the steering box) are leaking.

The two vacuum hoses are there to bring up the idle when you are at a full turn.

Hey you are from Farmington, cool, I am living in Bountiful right now!

Those vacuum lines are for the idle up circuit.

Mine are disconnected and I do not leak fluid.

thanks for all your help guys. i cleaned everything around the power steering pump with simple green, and then filled it up with PS fluid. turns out it wasnt the high pressure tubes that were leaking but the thing with the two other hoses attatched that screwed in down behind the pump. i just put some teflon tape on it and screwed it back in and no more leaks and the PS works great now. still dont know whats those other vacuum tubes are for tho, they arent on the vacuum diagram, but thanks nathan.

i think we need a u4roc, what do you think slc punk?
