Power Seat Attack!

So, it seems my 4Runner likes to attack little kids in the backseat. With a back seat full of children, my power seat decided to recline itself all the way back, crushing the legs of a poor little boy. I wasn't there, but it was my girlfriend who had the Runner at the time. She was able to get it back in position, and go about her day. I guess his legs were pretty red, and he was screaming and all that. I didn't learn about it until this morning, when she opened the door to discover the driver seat bottomed out on the back seat, and she ran back in to tell me. I got it back into position, and unhooked power to it. The power windows have a feature that stops this sort of thing from happening, not the power seat? Whats up with that? Looks like I'll be pulling the seat out in the near future to fix some faulty switches! Mileage: about 207000.

Power seats are evil and should be outlawed !!

Most likely dirty switch contacts allowing a slight amount of current to the motor

Wiring rubbing in the seat harness .

Should be a easy fix
