I have a 98 Ltd. in Anthracite Metallic and I am considering either powder coating or painting my rims in a Graphite color and I was wondering if people have done this with my color of car and if i looks good. What do you think?

Anyone have pics of it?

I got some anthracite, gun metal, and smoke transparent in stock. Powder coating would be the way to go...the finish would last you 10x longer.

One thing to consider with p/c is that if you go off road and or get any rock/curb rash on the wheels, it is a lot harder to repair the p/c finish that with paint. At least w/ aluminum wheels you won't have to worry about scrapes in the coating rusting. You might also see if you can find a place to anodize them.

I have also been thinking of having mine powdercoated, so I tryed it a couple times on photoshop. I am by no means an expert at it, but I can give it a try. Here is the pic I did of my truck

I don't have your color runner, but this is what mine looks like. I used Duplicolor spray paint on mine.

Powdercoating is always best, but it can be a big hassle for someone with a DD (removal of tires, shipping, etc).

I have a how-to vid in the tech section (and in my sig) to help people paint their wheels. Total cost is under $30. I've been running mine for a couple years now.

I'd Powder Coat 'em
If i were you, I'd send them to callmej75 to have them powdercoated. He has powdercoated my windshield wipers and valve cover for my 22re. Great work and VERY affordable prices.

You have a sweet looking 4runner and you don't want to mess up the sweetness by spray painting the wheels only to have the paint start chipping off down the road.

My 2 cents.
