Possible Transmission Issue

Hey all. While I was driving through Durango early this morning going skiing, I pulled over at a coffee shop. I had been runing the truck in 4X4 for about 1.5 miles (out of a 60 mile trip from Farmington NM) because the particular road I was on was quite slushy. Anyway, when I put the transmission in park, an idiot light came up on the dash indicating "A/T P" What does this mean? I put the transmission back in drive and the light went away, then back to park and the light came on again. I never saw the light the rest of the trip even after the 20 mile streach to the ski area (about 1/3 in 4X4). I didnt see the light when I parked at the ski area, nor for the rest of the day when I drove home. Any ideas of what the light means and how to fix the problem? Thanks

According to the manual. To get rid of light - shift four-wheel drive control out of "N". The light warns that the transmission "Park" mechanism is not engaged. If the four-wheel drive control is in the "N" position while the selector level is in the "P" position, the transmission will disengage and the wheels will not lock.

Oh, ok. Thanks. A manual didnt come with the truck when I bought it a month ago. Thanks again for the tip. I was unsure of what it indicated.
