Hey, thanks for the compliments guys, its been a long long road...but nice to finally see results. The subs are JL13.5W7-1.5OHM DVC. Blew up 3 Xtant 1001 amps trying to power them before I switched to the mono d block 1501's, and they have been killer. The Xtants actually caught on fire...so as a word of warning to anyone running these amps; first of all, they are very very nice amps. The runability and and adjustable circuit board is unbelievable, just make sure you get plenty of power to them and you will be fine. And Momo, I'm all for the FIPK, I'd like to get to a dyno before I supercharge her, just to see what I got out of exhaust and the FIPK. Thanks guys.

One last question. Did you have ot modify the Taco skid palte when you intalled it and did you take off the 4Runner skid plate or leave it on under the new one? That looks really cool, as does the rest of your truck. Good job.

No mods were made to the tacoma skid plate what so ever. I did not use the bolts and mounting brackets that are supplied with the skid plate. You need to buy about 3" long bolts (stainless to match) and something to space the skid plate down about 1/2" to get it to sit fairly level below the front. I found the skid plate on ebay for $100, and I saw a few more on there the other day for about the same price. I can shoot a close up of the way I mounted it tomorrow and post it for you. The second set of bolt holes line up directly with the front tow hooks on each side. And yes, I still have the stock plate that goes behind it, just lost a few bolts in the process and haven't gotten it back on yet. It will still fit just fine.
To answer another earlier question about the dB that I have hit...High 160's are no prob, and we have hit 172/73 a couple of times, still working out a bunch of bugs with the tuning, adding more dynomat, and filling up some airspace within the box. If you look close, you can see that I had both subs running into one of the 1501's today...we were working on the other amp and line driver adjustments...time to upgrade the mids and highs. Ahhh yes, the W7's. Very nice speaker. I used to work at an audio store and those speakers are so sweet. I wish i had the money for them, they were too expensive for me and i could get them at cost

I am in no way going to disagree with you. It was a present from a buddy of mine who passed away about a year ago...he engraved his initals in in the back, etc, etc. I think about yanking it all the time...guess I am just a pathetic senitmental F___. I get a lot of laughs out of it, cause I usually forget it's there. Probably should yank it and hang it on the wall or something. Sorry for the offense nature?!? My bad.

Hey when I first saw this thread I was like, just speakers! Whoops, I meant subwoofers. After now seeing the rest, well you have a nice lifted 4th gen runner. Very cool looking indeed, but does she see rocks and mudd? Here, I see lots of cool looking 4runners and Tacos lifted and all, but I never see them off the roads. Which is to bad. Anyway, cool pics! Now put her in her proper environment and enjoy.

Hey, sorry for my sarcasm abou the earlier post (re: subwoofers), just giving ya S__t. I appreciate the comments about my rig. The tires on her right now are virtually worthless (Goodyear GTII) offroad, but all that I could afford at the time. Now that the lift has been completed, I'm saving for either some BFG MT's or Goodyear MT/S's. Gonna bump up in size as well, and plan on getting into the woods every opportunity I get...that's what it's made for...right? I just can't decide on the best tire for me since I put a ton of interstate miles on every year. I have had Geo AT/Plus II's and Wrangler AT/S's, and loved them both. Just limited to what is available in a good all-terrain tire in a 285/70R17. The only 3 available at the moment are the BFG AT's and MT's, and the Goodyear MT/S's. I could go back to a 33/12.5R17, but all I have seen in that size are baja claws and other mudders. If you have any recommendations, just let me know. Thanks guys.

Billy-did you ever get the warning lights to reset?
Also, if your still snapping shots, can you get a pic of the new CV angles after the 3" lift?

Checking in...
Just got a quick break from the presentation. First of all, I gotta give Toyo, jgs9455, and First Toy a big thank you. I felt like I was overwhelming the Forum, and am glad to see you guys are enjoying it. License plate frame is gone and hanging in the garage...for good.
Momo- I took a shot with my digi @ Ace of what I used to space the skid plate with, and will have a couple of close ups for you later tonight. It's a very very easy install.
Sac State- I tried what Good Times recommended with the OBDII, but was unable to clear the warning lights. The reader did tell me that no error codes are stored within the system, so it is just a matter of getting the lights reset. I'm thinking I have no choice but to run it to the stealer. And I could definitely get you some shots of the CV Angles...if I know what they were...lol. It may appear as though I know a bit about these things, but I still continue to learn daily. Give me an illiterate 4th graders definition of what you want to see, and I'll take care of it.
Sorry about the long sig. I'm gonna get rid of it now for good as well.
