Picture/Description Request

Okay, so it appears as though the PO did one heck of a hack-job on the battery cables in my 1998 tacoma. I am looking to return them to factory state. It's never had any starting/electrical issues, but I'd just like to do it for peace of mind.

What I need is a description, with pictures of where the positive and negative lead(s) go and where they connect.

Thanks in advance.

Posative probably connects to the main harness somewhere real close and the neg probably goes to the engine block and the body as close as possible.

Rekindling an old thread cause I need new terminals ASAP.

Basically my system is like this. Negative runs thick wire to block and thin(ner) wire to fender. Positive runs thick wire to starter and thin(ner) wire, half-ass connected to fuse box. The alternator lead runs to said fuse box connection.

Does this sound right? Pics would sure be helpful

Basically auto zone wants to sell me two battery cables, each have a main 2 ga lead and a secondary 8 ga lead. I think they'll work, but could use a second opinion
