PCV valve cleaning
Everytime I do an oil change I remove the PCV and clean it out with throttle body cleaner.
Anybody see anything wrong with this, or should I replace it?

I've heard of people dipping it in gasoline to clean it but in reality, they're dirt cheap at auto parts stores - you might as well just replace it if you're worried about it.

I change it every 30K. I check it every time I do the air filter to make sure it gives a nice clean rattle. Cheapo PCV valves from NAPA worked on my Mercedes (died at 30 years) and my BMW (wrecked at 19 years and 265K, was going strong)--and so far so good on my Runner (11 years and 128K). If I thought it needed cleaning, I'd rather chuck it.
