Does anyone know how to slow or stop this process!

wraun,
are you sure its not just swirl marks? if so, dawn it, do a few coats of polish w/ a buffer, and two coats of wax. i'll leave the type of polish/wax up to you.
alternatively, i've had a lot of great results with zaino products, esp on the wife's dark green camry.
