That's what Suprastick instructions show you what to do when installing one in a 4runner. They call it a stealth install.

Once it's built and it actually works I will either build some and sell them or just post the schematic and code so you can build your own and add stuff/modify it to your liking, depends on interest. Or just keep it to myself so I have the only one. Just too early to say.

Neat to see other people's homemade stuff like that. Makes me feel less crazy to attempt it. I have a feeling I will have it in paddle mode 99% of the time, the other 1% will be when my wife drives it.

LOL. She has her own right next to mine and hers is the 5spd too. I just don't think she would bother with it. She drives mine all the time because she likes how big it is and really likes the turbo and the noise it makes, and when I drink to much on the trails she has to drive.

Haha I hear ya...some are definitely better than others.
I stopped letting girlfriends drive my truck when one of them decided to put it in park doing 35mph and another one (only one at a time ) almost rolled it on the dunes.

Getting a stk500_recv() error, "programmer not responding" when trying to program the standalone chip, and female headers for the SOIC adapter board ordered.

did you choose the correct com port... I bought a arduino mini and it had a different port that my arduino uno when plugged in to my vista running laptop... then for some reason at one point the uno sort of glitched and vista assigned it another port. Just something to watch out for
