P0325 knock sensor code - 3.4l specialists help
Po325 = R bank knock sensor
so then swapped harness pins , as manual suggests , and sent code to L bank .
suggests computer is ok .
pulled apart the top end to expose the knock sensors ..
only 1 sensor is subject , as the code suggests , so I checked it with ohm meter (as per manual) .. specks OK as per manual .. (also checked both , and ok)
also did the harness Ohm check , and all ok ..
is this engine needing a rebuild ?

slacker, the knock sensor wire is quite inexpensive from the dealer and likely the culprit even tho' it seems to check out ok. The sensors themselves rarely fail.
What's the history on this engine?

147K kilometres .. that's kilometers not miles !
so its a real low mile engine !! which surprises the crap out of me that its knocking !!
I don't know the service history , as this is a "swap" engine , but the internals looked good .
I do have a new knock sensor and wire harness coming tomorrow , so I guess we'll see

that's doubtful , as the harness plug connection for the knock sensors is not molested or even used in this swap .
as posted above .. re-pinning the connection confirms this
but I do appreciate your response .. thinking is good !!

so just wanted to update this thread for future tech .
although the original wire and sensor "spec" out as "normal ". I decided to replace the knock sensor #1 (right bank) anyway, simply because of the wire swap I did , and the code moved to bank#2 ... this was not an easy decision , as for me , price was not nominal , and if it didn't work , it would have been a waste of money .
new sensor in the right bank , and also replaced the wire . and all back together and runs like a champ
