OME Steering Stabilizer Clearance?

Hey got a quick question.

I recently purchased a OME stabilizer and was going to get it installed, but the car died and took it in to get fixed. While I was there, I asked them to install it for me. When the car was done and I came back to pick it up, they told me that the stabilizer would not clear and would rub the oil pan. Is this true with everyone else?
At the moment, im running without any suspension mods, hopefully that'll change soon , so should I expect harsh rubbing if I decide to throw it on? or should I just wait?
Has anyone run into this situation? or is everyone with a OME stabilizer lifted or have their torsion bars cranked some?

Thanks

Steve

I have the OME on my 90 4Runner and it doesn't rub the oil pan. It's a closer fit than stock, but it clears fine. When I first held mine up to check fit, I thought it wasn't going to fit either.

when you first installed it, were you sitting at stock? or a bit lifted up front?

I think im going to try to install it and see exactly where i stand with this

Thanks for your quick reply as well

I"m at about 14 inches or so from top of the rim to fender. I guess that's a little lifted, but I've never heard of a lifted front end being a prerequisite.
It's dark & rainy here else I'd take a picture for you. I think there's a write up on the install in the tech section as well.

When you look at it, it looks too big. It fits, it's just a close fit. Try a shop that isn't full of it.
