I'm afraid to know what your gas mileage is at now with the lift and wheels/tires. I just filled mine up and got about 14+ driving around the city all weekend...your mileage must be in the basement, especially driving around the Bean all the time.

that was partly my set up, well the body lift and the rims/tires. Lee, i used to have one of those Maguires buffers you put in the end of a drill and it made them look too bling for me so i just resorted to using rim cleaner. You're right though, i didn't clean them often enough i guess.

Allan, the street worked better since we were taking the body lift out of my truck and putting it into his. I needed his stock hardware so we did one side of each truck at a time. Also, this way the tools were all in one spot instead of going from street to garage.

Those rims are 3 and 5/8"s backspacing. They are Mickey Thompson Classic II's, 16x8.

thanks for thinking of me when it came time for you to get rid of this setup. im glad it worked for both of us

you got basically brand new pp springs out of it too, and mtrs that will last you at least 1 more yr.

Drew, lets see some pics of your rig with Lee's crap on it! Your truck always looked so sweet, I am sad to see you downgrade, but a trail rig is definitely worth it! The benefit of this is that I always loved the look of your truck, now the same look is on another 3rd gen, so really we took the only think I didn't love (the color) and fixed it, hahahaha!

You should be able to adjust the front TJM bumper so there isn't a gap. This pic, I have a 1" body lift and no gap at all. Just get a couple guys to push up on the bumper while you tighten the mounting bolts.

good point lee, if you moved any slower getting those bolts in, that bumper would have sitting in your lap. Heath, i'll try and get some pics when this rain stops. I loved the look as well. I'll get that pick up out so we can check it out after Paragon.

Here ya go. This is what my truck looks like after the swap. I got Lee's MTR's and his PP springs in my truck now. I like the ride and the MPG's. I just wish the front tires weren't so tucked into the wheel wells. Maybe so LC wheels will fix that, or some DC 1's.

shotking4 / asu4runner : What kind of front bumbers do you guys got on? What kind of price and from where could i find them? Very sexy, id like to get one for myself xmas time ish. Did they make a big difference in your mileage?

lee : Im moving to south of Montreal soon, and ill be 3ish hours from Boston. Would you ever consider helping me do the OME lift for some cash or beer in the spring time when i get the $, by me comen down there?

what kind of mileage can i expect with a 2" lift with no other changes (tires, bumpers etc)?

Since Lee is on vacation right now and I don't know if he is checking in soon, I will answer for him. The bumpers on all three of the trucks pictured in this thread are TJM's. The t-15 has the hoops, the T-17 doesn't. I think they do make a difference in your mileage, but not a huge one.
Where in Montreal is only 3 hours from Boston? I would figure that anywhere over the border would be 4.5-5 hours to get down here.

sounds good arron.. i mean when you have a timeline, let me know and we can get a few people to lend a hand.

if youre ever down here besides, you can come wheelin with us... ride along or bring your truck, either way.

2" lift mpg change depends on a few things, like whether its only the 2.5 OME or is it a 2" BL or... etc.

if youre doing just the 2" OME it should change things THAT much. maybe 2mpgs is what id guess.

ive been driving like a little old lady and im getting 14-15 with 305's, tjm, etc in place.
