Offset for MT Classic II's

I was looking at the specs on the MT Classic II's in the typical size used by 3rd gen 4runner owners here in a 16X8. They are a 3-5/8" B.S. with a negative 22mm offset. That means the centerline of those wheels is almost an inch more outboard.

My Moto Metal 17X9 wheels are a 4.5" B.S. ( I measured them) and a negative 12mm offset. I run Trxus M/T 35x12.5x17's

Therefore for my wheel centerline to be the same as a MT II then I would actually need 1.5" wheels spacers? Perhaps I don’t have a solid understanding of how negative offset affects clearances.

Reason I ask is I have 35" tires and i am having issues with inner fender well contact even with a 3" body lift and sonoran steel system 1.2 installed. As well as frame rub at full lock.

Seems those that run the MT Classic II's with pinch weld and fender trimming dont have the issues I do at full stuff.

I have thus far cut out the pinch welds and its in this area I have issues when articulating.

I tried 1.25" wheel spacers but that made the tire contact the inner fender just sitting there when I turned the wheels to one side or the other. Should I get 1.5 spacers or go even further? I surely should not have to cut out and plate the fender wells. This blows. Any help greatly appreciated. I dont have a cache of wheels spacers to try out. Just the 1.25's and before i send them in for another size I've got to get this figured out.

could this be part of the problem with clearance issues? Looks like the body is shifted forward on the frame from the ridiculous 3" body lift spacers. In looking at the bolt, it seems to be canted forward. Thoughts anyone?
