lol, I will offer a little advice/forum for you.

1) where is it coming from
2) what does it sound like
3) can you replicate it
4) are you sure it has ANYthing to do with your clock (strange IMO)
5) year, model
6) when it started

Thats a start...

96 limited 4runner sounds like a constant chatter like a bird maybe, near the clock maybe not the clock itself but around that general area does it on and off started a few weeks ago

I know of a TSB for the 01 truck relating to a dash squeak
there is a write up over at customtacos.com
in the technical section

the TSB involves the passenger side airbag rubbing against the rest of the dash
might have some useful info
?????

I've been having the same problem. Sound like little baby birds chirpin'. The noise is abosutlely annoying. I'm still trying to diagnos what it is. If anyone had the same problem and fixed it, please help.

I have the same problem with my '03 Tacoma. Mine is the blower fan for the heater and A/C. Turn the fan to a different speed and see if the noise changes. I pulled mine out and tried to oil it, but it didn't make a difference. It only does it occasionaly and I haven't been annoyed enough yet to replace it.
