No dash/taillights!!!

hey is there something notorious in a 1st gen (85) SR5 4runner that keeps making the taillights go out? Help please! :wtf:

I would ckeck your bulb's. I have had bad bulb's that shorted out and poped the fuse. I believe that your running light's (hopefully meaning the same as your taillights)and your dash light's are on the same fuse.

Just thinking do you have a trailer plug in back ? it could be shorting out somewere and poping the fuses, Just a guess.....

I'm new here. Dash and tail lights? There is a tail light control relay.

Both the dash and taillights are on the same fuse. Check that first.

Another vote for a short somewhere. Try putting electrical contact grease in all your bulb sockets. Also, is there any "custom" wiring on your rig in that circuit...ie Air Lift compressor, extra back up light????

no custom circuts but my trailer wires hang down and flop all over the place but i already tapped them off with electrical tape. Ill try the new bulb thing i guess. Its suppose to be a 15 amp fuse, and i ran a 25 amp one for a while and it work but then blew out. I know thats bad but i needed to to get the ticket signed off. Thanks any more ideas?
