Ok guys.... Im looking at some linvestments and Im seeing what you guys think. Im not looking to spend alot... but I have $200 saved up. so heres what Im thikning. I have a '99 and I do alittle off roading and trail driving... nothing like rock crawling or such... I already have a brush guard, nice tires, and a roof rack setup. I plan to do alot more off roading but Im still babying my new toy. So here are some ideas...
1. New lights, like the hella black magic, or IPF 900
2. Sliders from Stubbes ( i know theyre alittle more than $200 but around that)
3. A suspension lift. I see that i can get the spacers for about $250, but I was looking at coil replacement (can this be done for a caparable price??)
4. Other - Please make other suggestions

I would love the susp. lift but Im thinking the price point is going to be the downfall. If anyone can make some suggestions to lift for around $200 or so it would be great.

Thanks guys and help me spend my money... I figure since Im on a budget I have to make the most of it so you guys can help me build the best truck I can.

out of that list, i would suggest sliders. they will protect the truck, and unless you really need lights (for nighttime offroading), i think sliders would be the most cost effective. i think if you want to do a suspension lift, you should save some more and get it the way you want it the first time, instead of going the route that you can afford right now. you could do a body lift if you want a mild lifted look.

there was a thread simliar to this not too long ago, and the most given advice was just to wheel more and get more experience. that way you'll know what you personally need and dont need.

Ive done alot of wheeling in the past with a previous truck - pathfinder (lifted, guarded, and almost rolled) I havent done alot with the 4runner cause Im still babying it and I want to do acouple things before I hit the old trails... like either sliders or lift, but those lights are so damn cool....

Maybe if my wheels and tires sell i can get the good susp. lift set up i want..lol

 

I would put the money into a lift or save for gears and traction devices. The lights can come later.
