New tires..w/pics

So sunday I finally ordered some new tread. I ordered a set of Dunlop Mud Rover Radial, from tirerack.com. Today I got off work at 6 and came home to a set of tires sitting in my garage. They are 285/75/16. Very aggressive tread, soon to be a review of them after I get them mounted and balanced at work tommorrow.

those look nice but yes they will be rubbing, specifically in reverse and turning at same time.

Just got them mounted and balanced about 30 minutes ago. No rub at full lock and there is about 3/4 in. room inbetween the UCA. Pics with them on soon to follow tonight...

Good to hear there is no rubbing (or not much during regular driving anyhow..). I have the same lift as you, and will be purchasing my 285 M/Ts soon and I just keep looking at my front wheel wells with 265/70s thinking .."this is never gonna work.."

The pictures make it look like you had to do some trimming on the lower valance?? It could just be because I'm used to looking at mine, which has flares, but just curious?

They have been doing pretty good for me. No problems at all after 500 miles i still have most of those short nubbies. They really plow through the mud even in 2wd.

I'm surprised that you don't rub the pinch weld at the rear of the front wheel wells. I have 285/75R16 BFG AT T/A KO's on my Runner with about 3" of suspension lift and I rubbed the pinch weld pretty heavily. Nothing a BFH couldn't handle though.

I love the paint job on your wheels. I was going to repaint mine silver...but now you have me second guessing that decision.

Thanks,

-Dan.
