sweet. keep us posted.
SS3 is going to get some of the 4wd coils for his 4banger and try them out too. He thinks that the combination of the upper A-arms and the franks was giving him TOO MUCH droop leading to a CV failure over the weekend at Moab.

A-arms are nothing but bling that will cause you to break stuff. If you change the suspension geometry too much, then you'll just keep finding more and more weak links as you continuously break and upgrade stuff. If you want more front travel that bad, then sell the runner and get a locked FZJ then add a slee lift w/ OME J shocks and 35's and you'll have $12k-$14k in a kickass DD.

dont be a sell-out andy. keep your 99 4R.
a-arms are not just bling. but like any other modification, there are benefits AND costs. most of the benefits and costs that come with modifications are extremely relative to the driver and the environment.
hows your spacer/stud R&D?

lol... shoulda put that smiley after "bling". oh well.
My runner isn't going ANYWHERE.
I have a source for the spacers, and so far it looks like two more people interested, so I guess I'll go ahead and order them. If nothing else, I might end up putting them on ebay. The only problem I've run into are the studs. I can't source them ANYWHERE. I have one last call in, and if it falls through, then they will come w/ some Grade 8 Hex Bolts instead of splined-shaft studs. The pressure of the coil spring pressing on the head of the bolt will prevent them from turning, so that won't be a problem - I would rather have the studs, but according to Revtek, they have them specially made. I would just provide the Grade 8 hardware w/ the spacer kit, and if you wanted the revtek studs, then you could just cough up the $42 they charge and use them and chunk the Grade 8 stuff.

Yesterday I ordered the 4WD Tundra TRD coils. From the part numbers Andy posted. They are brand new and will be the coil from the part number. No eBay guessing.
I am going to install them without ANY spacers and see what happens. I can add the Revtek if I need more lift later.

I used the 2wd coils and a 3/8" thick top spacer and I am VERY happy. Steve and Gapguy are going to install the 4wd coils. Steve won't use a spacer (he has a 4-cyl) and Gapguy is going to use one of my spacer kits (V6). They'll have info soon on how much lift, compression, and droop w/ their setups.
patience grasshopper.

And after I get a little bit of Measuring 101 from somebody....
I'll also be running Yellow/Blue Bilstein HD's. Wheeler's claim's they're the same as the TRD Blue/Red. As long as the length isn't limiting, it shoudln't change any measurments.
Edit: Maybe I should get an M8000, and a S/C...Ya know, to rule out any of those pesky variables!

What they DIDN'T tell you is that the yellow billies are valved differently than the ones I have (2wd TRD Red) and the one's I have are more like the OME N91's. I thought you had N91s in your garage? If you do, then return the yellow billies and save some $$$ and still end up w/ something better.
