New Speakers

I need 2 new front door speakers for my 2000 4runner. I'm buying off this awesome website, but not sure what to buy. Take a look at the link, and request some good front door speakers please. This site actually works too, my buddy got an awesome system off it.

Go with the 6.5in component speakers, you won't regret it.

There are many cheap sites out there, just look around. Ikesound.com is cheaper than discount jungle and is very reputable...never had any problems on my many orders from them. Also, do you want to get an external amp to power the speakers(RECCOMENDED) since the 6.5 components are rated at 100w RMS? Infinity speakers are very good, i have the 60.5cs in the front of my tacoma, and the 572.5cf in the back with a Rockford Fosgate amp powering them.

An external amp is good but components usually have an rms range like 8-100w

exactly, the 6.5" components have a RMS of 100w and a peak of 300w. Your head unit cannot nearly put that out, so you will experience distortion at the same volume near to your stock speakers.

crutchfield says that the (98) 4runner has 6 3/4", wierd size. I bet if you wanted to, you could fit a 7" in there. Also many companies do make 6 3/4". Also look what a found! I bet you it maked the system sound much better, I wonder if its difficult adding to more spaekers to your system?http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-0kE0tJR2la1/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=10&g=765&I=044K400387&o=m&a=1&c c=01&avf=Y

Component Speakers

If you go with component speakers, you should go with a new head unit and amp??

I have a set of Eclipse 8062 component speakers that have never been hooked up. I'm selling them now in the for sale section, let me know if you are interested.

I wouldn't go with a component set unless your gonna get an amp or plan on getting one in the future.

It's 4", I remember when Circuity City pulled mine out and they came out that size.

Son of a b*tch, that website has my Alpine 9815 deck that I bought for close to $500 (including install) for only $339. Ergh...never buying anything ever again from Good Guys, bloody bastards!

Anyone have the Kappas 60.5cs in their 4Runner? The reason I ask if because they seem very deep. Does it interfere with the windows or does it fit fine?

Those are good to make by yourself and not too hard to do. If you want instructions on how tell me, there are many site out there with pictures and step instructions to make fiberglass kicks.
