Sweet sliders, how much did you pay for the welding job???
I see you are in Grass Valley, are there any good, honest reputable shops up there that do work on Runners or Toyotas in general?

nice...any close ups of those welds?
something dont look quite right....the pic is really small
theres a big difference between the weld holding with a jack under it and dropping it a few feet onto the slider

My Dad and I helped him weld them on with our welder. welds arent perfect but between paint and electrocoat they are pretty good welds. They are very strong to.

WFO concepts does very good work. They do alot of extreme stuff but also alot of more typical rock crawler rigs.
Another one is Twisted Metal Fab.

those weld are going to break. DID you guys clean the frame rail, and the slider base, they are cold welds and look contaminated. Sorry to break the bad news, they are going to fall off with time, or flex up in to the body. I would grind them off and get them welded on right.

I'm sure those sliders are never going to see offroad-induced trail testing.
In that case, those welds will work great for a really overkill step-bar. I'm thinking the most force going to be placed on them is from passengers getting in and out of the suv.
I will say: At least they look asthetically pleasing to the eye

first off my truck does see off road that was the reason for them, i wheel it almost every weekend going out tomorrow. and here is more pics i looked at that weld and it looks like that pic just made it look bad here are some more they will hold. i did the welds on the gussets but i suck at vertical welding so i had wcorbett's dad do the welds cuz he is really good, he has built alot of things on there jeep and it is awsome, 90% custom, even made a custom frame that is incredible so i trust his welds greatly. the blobs u see are from the tacks i did with a smaller welder with very small wire in it just to get the measurements right so we could get right on it when his dad had time and not have to do it there

You ought to save yourself two hundred dollars and go to your local steel shop. Buy about 18ft of 1/8 walled square tubing and weld some up. Cost ya maybe 75 bucks total, and will be bomber strong. Get ya some 1/4" plate steel to use as scabs on the frame for added surface contact....bam you got yourself bombproof sliders. If you can't weld, get one of your buddies to. If you ever make it to central ohio, I'll weld'm up for ya.
