New Shoes

Finally replaced my old Goodyear's. Went with the Revo's. Thank you to all that unknowingly gave advice. You guys Can't wait to get them on the trail. With the new tires on it inspired me to put the winter coat of wax on as well. It was a nice sunny October day.

Thanks.....was starting to wonder if I really was wrong.....

Would like to take the stripes off but not sure the best way to go about it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you for compliments as well. Get occasional comments about the age vs. looks....Im glad it still looks as good as it does, it has been a great truck. I have learned why those who own Toyotas love them.

you know what i got some Warns as well, and everyone i know say i should put the AISIN's back on, i've talkd to dealership mechanics, local offroaders, they say WARN is as effective as AISIN, if not stronger. so i dont know what they're case is now....

lift?

Hey.. NIIIIIIIIICE..i got a question for ya! Did u replace the tires of the same size as the goodyears? or did u go big? Did you get a couple in of lift with the new bigger tires?? just wondering because i need to get new tires too.. right now.. i have stock 245/75/16. hmm.. thats wierd.. i just chcked the toy website and it says for my vehicle that it comes in 245/70/16, but my tire says 265. Thats wierd. anyway.. let me now if the new shoes did any "lifting" for ya.

Very easy to do
Grab a heat gun and a platic putty knife.Heat the stripe to release the glue and start removing the stripe. If you have glue on the body get some 3M Adhesive remover use a paper towel to apply the remover to soften the glue then scrap away with the plastic knife. I spent around 90mins doing my rig. hopefully i will get a pic up b4 it starts to snow.

Hey thom, do you have a lift on your pickup? Looks taller than mine. If you do, what type?

I agree with you, I think it is more a matter of opinon. The Warns have not failed me or given me any problems but to keep it more on the "pure" side I would have tried to find some Aisin hubs....I cannot however, say anything other than positive things about the Warns. They have done well for me so far.

Thanks, I replaced them with the same size as the Goodyears. I have 31X10.5 R15's on. I bought the truck used and it had that size tire, a factory option if I'm not mistaken, on it. As far as a lift, I have never put one on. I do not see anything underneath that would indicate a lift eaither. I replaced my shocks and had no problems with the stock size shocks.

Not that I know of. It is a 94 if that changes anything that would the only thing I can think of. Ironically, I have always liked the squattier look that I have seen. I extended the torsion bars a few turns to try and level it. It helped but I have noticed the standard rougher ride too.

**Sludge- Thanks for the info on the stripes. Now I'm going to have to find a buddy with a heat gun and start stripping.
