New shift bushing & seat = smooth shifting
My 90 pickup has been really hard to shift since I got it last summer. The shifter also had lots of play when in gear. I thought it was the syncros in the 15 year old trans. I just replaced the shift bushing and seat in my truck with the ones that Marlin Crawler makes.
I am really impressed with the difference. The old seat was pretty much gone, just a few little chunks left. The whole job took about half an hour and was very easy. The truck now shifts really smoothly in all gears and no shifter wobble. This was $20.00 very well spent. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an older truck and sloppy shifting.
