New Meats: 285's are on!
Trying to find the most aggressive all terrain tires for the cheapest cost has been a 6 month saga for me. Several weeks ago, I finally decided on the Multi Mile Wild Country TXR II's in the 285 flavor. The TXR II's are a border line M/T tire and are way more aggressive than the pics show. I had to do a little trimming on the front valance and on the back of the running board to make them clear. I'll post a review on these in the coming weeks when they get some miles on them. Here are a few comparing my old 265's and the new 285's....

Well, I just got tired of being quoted ~$200 per tire for other brands. Reviews on these tires have been as good as, or better than many of the more expensive tires out there, so I decided to give them a try. The TXR II's were $150 each out the door, which is a very nice price for a semi M/T tire! Plus, as many miles as I drive, cheaper tires are the way to go for me.
I agree that they look sweet. They have a very different tread design than anything else out there.

I got them from Del at L&C tire in Spirit Lake. He was awesome to work with! They even test fit a 285 Nitto TG just to make sure they would fit. Their prices are great too! Thanks for the compliment!

Were those old tires 265/70 or 265/75?

What lift do you have? I'm just wondering if it's a full kit or something else because the rear definitely looks higher than the front. The tires look nice, any rubbing at all?

LC's and 3" spacers. It isn't a kit, you have to buy them seperately.
