After searching for quite awhile I finally found one that I liked that didn't have crazy miles with a crazy price. New to me 4Runner-image-1194275925.jpg Came with a Schrocks Works bumper too! New to me 4Runner-image-4099567756.jpg New to me 4Runner-image-4014286342.jpg
The PO had not clue that it had the Rear Locker! Score!

Plans are to get it driveable and reliable. It needs work. 1. Already replaced rear drive shaft u-joint and had it balanced. 2. Needs new muffler 3. Needs new suspension, probably go back with stock height springs unless someone can tell me not too. 4. New tires 285's 5. Strip wheels and repaint with duplicolor silver wheel paint 6. Had a serious oil leak, followed leak up to the oil filter, turned it 15*, fixed! 7. Change all fluids 8. Replace timing belt

Nice! are getting projects done. Did you replace one u-joint or both? I highly recommend changing both u-joints at the same time, especially if you were having driveshaft vibrations.

I took it to my local Drive line shop, told em to replace whatever needed to be replaced. Apparently just the rear one was bad. The carden joint u-joints passed inspection. $77! Smooth ride now!

Great looking rig, and I'm envious of that bumper.

Surprising the PO didn't know about the locker considering there is the button right there saying RR locker (or whatever it says on it). Some people are just oblivious.

Thanks! I got the wheels stripped and repainted. I used a duplicolor silver wheel repaint Kit. The picture on the box looks great but they turned out a bit darker and less shiny than I was expecting. Disregard the paint over spray on the tires, new Mastercraft MXT's are ordered. I also spent some time replacing most of the center console and A/C area light bulbs. New cig light, new glove box. I think I replaced 7-8 all together!

The new suspension is ordered and on the way. I went to partsgeek to order OEM height coil springs, strut assemblies and rear shocks. Hope to get it on ASAP.

Since we have 70* days, I decided to get the old suspension off. The new stuff is supposed to be here soon. One of the rear shocks was completely rusted on top and totally detached. Looks like stock stuff.
