Question New guy w/ some questions...

Hello everyone. Great forum. I've been lurking and learning here for a little while and need some advice.

I've got a 02 4Runner SR5 Sport that just passed the 30K mark. I got a lift the other day (Daystar spacers up front, OME 891 Coils and Skyjacker shocks in the rear) and some new tires (Nitto Terra Grapplers, 285x75r16). Got an alignment immediately after that at another shop. But... I've got a shimmy/vibration/wobble/whatever you want to call it, in the steering wheel. I can't really feel it a lower speeds but between 40mph and 60mph it's pretty noticeable. It peaks around 50mph. From everything I read here, and Gadget's webpage, it seems like a wheel balance problem. My CV angles are very mild in comparison to some of the pics I seen here and the wheels are the same stock ones I've been running. I assume the alignment is good since it was just done.

The guys that did the balance job DID NOT use a GSP9700 w/ Haweka adaptor. I found a shop nearby that does and they charge $50 bucks a wheel to do the full on road force balance.

Here are my questions,
1. Is my logic correct in that this "looks" like a balance problem?
2. If so, is a rebalance on the GSP9700 w/ Haweka adapotor the smartest next move?
3. And if so, is $200 bucks for all 4 tires about right?

If I'm way off base please advise.

Thanks for any feedback.

Did you add Revtek diff spacers in the front? If you're pushing three inches of lift in the front, it could be CV vibrations. The diff spacers only cost 30 bucks, and are worth the help on the CV angle.

Revtek diff spacers are on the way.

I also noticed that the balance weights are all on the inside of wheel. Someone told me that was a no no. Any truth to that?
