New Flowmaster
Got a Flowmaster 40 series with a tundra exhaust tip today. Took a cell phone vid of the noise and came out like crap so all I have is one picture right now. I'll see if I can't borrow a digital camera.

Nice looking truck!
The vid does work. It sounds a little "Civc" like. Is that just the vid? I am looking for something that has a nice DEEP sound. I will also be going dual on mine so that might make it a little lower.
I do like the volume that you get out of it, just can't tell tone very well on a vid.

i'm sure if you add a resonator (don't know what size) it would surely make it a ton deeper but it would also take out some of the gurgle which could quite possibly make it sound like a ricer... I personally didn't really think it sounded much like a civic... Do you think you can get a drive-by at a pretty low speed and then another one accelerating? That will give us a clear picture of what it really sounds like (because the microphone is picking up the sound straight out of the muffler tip). Sounds good though

it's a super and its fitted onto stock piping. the video picks up more rice than their actually is. actually i think its the fact that it can't pick up the low frequency it produces, which leaves it with that sound.
here's the good thing though:
first engine mods were the deckplate/isr mods which were done simultaneously. obvious hp gains but the auditory gains were best heard at wot or higher rpms. since then i've been prone to stepping on the gas to hear that awesome growl it lets out after about 3500 rpms. with the flow (which drowns out the mods now) it sounds best at a low rpm which prompts me to keep a light foot. all in all its balanced out my driving habits and ultimately saving me my engine and some gas money along the way woohoo!!
the next couple weeks are going to be heaven for me:
next thursday i'm having the ome 3" suspension installed. the last week of may i'm getting a set of 285/75s for m'baby! so excited i could be my pants. oh, and on a seperate note, halo 3 beta comes out may 16th so that will make the time go by faster. (you know what i'm talking about all you closet dorks! hahaha)
oh, and i'm getting a trd windshield decal in the mail in a day or so, that's at least another 50+ horsepower

For sure, those ATS's will not even be close to enough traction for you to even stay on the road! LOL

serious question though? with the 3" ome coils on my runner and probably not too serious of flexing going on in the next few months should i go with 285/75s or 305/70s?

Well the 305/70's will not get as good MPG but for looks i like the 305's hands down (as do 90% of plp on here).
Really it comes down to what you will be doing with her. If you will just be runnin around town then go with the 285/75 as they will get better MPG and with the high $$$ of gas that could be a house payment.
If you have $$$ to spend then go with the 305's they look BAD!
