New Clutch Time?

Hey Everyone,

My uncle think his clutch just went out. 2002 Taco, 3.4L, 5 Spd, Non-TRD. According to his wife who was driving at the time on the freeway, she lost power, and there is "smoke" pouring out of the back.

That's about the only description I have at this point. So, my Uncle thinks it's the clutch. I've seen the Marlin, and it looks like a good deal. Is it any better than a TRD, or is it twice as good as a Marlin?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
