New to the Board...
Hello fellow 4Runner fanatics. I have a 3rd gen that I am itching to modify. My first concern is the stock suspension. I have seen lots of post concerning Bils and I wanted to know if you all think that they are the best aftermarket product for the 4Runner. I never go offroad (waste of the majesty that is 4Runner, I know) and my lower back is getting tired of the harsh ride. I recently had a set of Yokohama Geolandar HT/S installed (265 70 R16). They are great tires and I want a good set of shocks to take advantage of them. Any advice on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome, and that's a good point. What do you think about the Ranchos with adjustable rebound and compression? Here's the link: http://www.gorancho.com/Flash_dial_a_ride.stm
Anyone have these installed or heard anything about them?
Thanks

Welcome!
It's true the Bilsteins are stiffer, but the road characteristics and handling are better than stock (if this concerns you at all). I have no comment on the Rancho's as I haven't heard much on them myslef. Good luck and again wlecome aboard.

I don't think those will help you much .. no matter what you do its still going to have a hard suspension. The adjustable ranchos increase the firmness so that you can go off road or tow a load .. not become softer then factory ones.
