Engine/auto trans is from a 1996 4Runner... T-Case is a RF1a installed into a 1982 Toyota Truck/Sunrader. I am using the ECM from the 4-Runner and trying to find a way to get a VSS reading to the ECM. I purchased The VSS T-case Adapter from Marlin Crawler but is is for a 1995 and older 3 Wire.
At this point i and not concerned with the Speedo as i am in getting a VSS reading to the ECM. for proper trans shifting... Any help on this???
My thought is what is the difference between the signal received by the ecm a 1995 vs a 1996, Can i use the Marlin adapter maybe made for the 1995 or is their another way???
