ah the joys of going to the store with one of the survivors to find a clone. I did this a lot when putting my mustang back together.

I have a busted off bolt on my skidplate. I removed it to spray it with our version of line-x and beef it up and havent gotten around to it yet. Not much for skid plate mods on here yet.

(insert veteran YT members awesome search result links giving me the info I am looking for)

Go to Auto Zone and ask them for different sizes and just go out in the parking lot and see what thread size it is (they should be good with you on that) and then go to the hardware store and buy what you need.

On my 99 4 runner all the bolts were the same size.
I just changed the original self-tapping bolts since they were binding up.

Went to Ace hardware and got:

M8, 1.25" long x 30 mm bolts.
Washers and lock washers came in the same size, M8.

These were almost too long so I would take in a bolt from one of the other locations to match it to.

Hope this helps.

mine originally were two different sizes. When I went to the stealer, he sez there's only one (now at least). Got a full set, all the same size, all work.

(I have too much fun with my TC skids and keep beating the hell out of the bolts)
