Dealership trying to rip you off?!? Never happens! What would they gain by taking your money and giving nothing in return?

Before I came here I would'nt even consider trying to change my suspension. Now I dont even flinch. Read some writeups and do it yourself. Chances are they will change the one that may be bad and charge you for all 4. And they'll add some $60 mystery bushings that must be replaced, otherwise your wheels will fall off

I went to a dealership once for service and came out with switched plug wires and the sudden need for a fuel injector rebuild, never again.

if you're gonna change your shocks, you might as well go with some nicer ones like bilsteins.

BUT if you wanna go OEM, i have stock shocks from all four corners from my 2002 available.

I install a lot of Old Man Emu suspensions here in South Africa and can definitely recommend them as they are available in comfort & firm versions. Have had my suspension for 4 years now and even though the shocks are sandblasted from all the offroading, they work 100%. No front nosediving, no bottoming out, very stable on-road at high speed.

I would disagree.
I think even the firm OME is much more comfortable than the stock stuff.
I was worried about the stiffness and the shock and spring combos offer lift, and a better ride both on and off the highway.

There you have it! I still have to find an OME customer that isn't showing teeth after the install!

hmm, i'm torn between stock or blisteins, OME is just too much for me right now. does anybody know if the ride is different with blisteins between a 2wd and 4wd? Anybody have a 2wd and blisteins? how are they better and worst than stock? right now my rear passengers say its really bumpy in the back, will blisteins make it worst?

i love the fact that blisteins will make my truck handle better, but i drive people around ALOT and would rather have a smooooooth ride!

That's the exact problem I have with my 97 and would love to hear an answer.
