Need pic of tire mounted on roofrack.
Instead of buying a mounting system for my spair tire on the roof, Im attempting to have my buddy weld together a little device for the same purpose. However, I cant seem to find a good picture of what they look like. If anyone has a picture of their tire mounted on a roof rack it would be a great help if you would post it before tomorow.
Thanks,
Dave

I don't have any pictures, but I used a 6" bolt and two 4" square plates. I drilled a hole in the center support of my safari basket the size of the bolt. From the bottom up, it goes bolt, plate, basket support, plate, spare, large wing nut. No cutting/welding/fabbing necessary.

Here is what I did to mine.
I brought one ratchet strap to hold it on, but it was bouncing around. Then Sherpa lent me another one and it held pretty good. Finally I gave up and rigged this up.
It moved the COG up a lot, but that darn tire is not moving!
