Need Help Quick

Im trying to put on my revtek 3" coilspacers before my parents get back in town(dad doesnt want me to mod my car up..) anyways i was just wondering if anyone here has installed 3" coilspacers on a 99 model 4runner or just the 3rd gen. itself. I just wanted to know how long it might take for me to do it if the person helping me and me are not really experianced. I know its supposed to be fairly easy. i know how do i it for the back and we have the coil compresser that has 2 parts.. not a one peice one. i know i have to jack up the rear diff and then lower it once i put jack stands under the frame. dont really no exactly how to do the front. i know to compress the springs after taking out all bolts and then insert the coils and put all the hardware back on. easier said then done tho. Why i need to no how long it will ruffly take is because tommarrow i get outta school at like 2:10, i can make it to my buddys house by like 2:30 hopefully... then we have till 5 cuz his gotta leave for soccer and i gotta go to work. thats only 2 and a half hours to work on my rig. does anyone no a estimated time?
THANX!!! try to post fast.. will check for feed back at school tommarrow and later tonight.

NEVER RUSH A JOB LIKE THAT! It always turns something out bad, especially a complex one. Sorry I can't answer your question, but that's just my .02 and here's a bump to top

EXACTLY what kford said
And if your folks don't notice a 3" lift, there NEVER gonna miss you for the afternoon it will take to do the job right!

ah man. i have to agree - that is the type of project you should never rush. and if your parents don't notice it, then they'll definitely notice when some major part of the suspension system falls out because you pushed yourself to do the job too fast! if you do this - then i wish you the best of luck and safety.

I'll venture a guess that you may get the rear done in 2 hours. The front would be another 4-6 hours. Are you sure you want to try this by yourself? 3" spacer is quite a bit. You might get some vibration from the CV's and it wont take too long for the boots (and joints) to go.

For a taco so ignore the leaf spring parts

Good Luck

hey man ... I was re-reading your post ... you know not to touch the single top/center bolt until you compress the coil, right???

It will take much longer than 2 1/2 hours for sure. I wouldn't even attempt it if theres a time issue. Just wait until you can do it right and only have to do it once!
