so i got a new bumber and valance for my truck its an 89-95 bumber with the 92-95 valance. i had the same bumber with the 89-91 valance on it. the clips the mount the 89-91 valance to the bumber wont work with the 92-95 valance should they or do i need to go get new clips to but the valance on the bumber. any help is appreciated greatly thanks....

 

Are the bumpers even the same for 89-95...I don't think they are. There were a lot of changes between those years I thought.

Yes and no. The detail of the style changed a bit but they interchange, they also interchange between pickup and 4Runner just fine too. The clips go on the valance, the screws come down through the bumper into the clips. PITA to reach them. The clips are "universal" - they will work to join anything together - so unless they are broken you don't need new ones.
