Maybe it's the lighting, but this one looks better IMO.

Either way. looks like you're having fun doing it.

crap, well i think my whole idea is going to have to change. One of the wheels looks like it was cast different than the others. its outer lip (the part that i left only clearcoated) is different. It isn't machined like the others but is a continual part of the casting. Meaning that it won't look like the others. I just noticed this as i stripped the paint off of it. Also its paint is much more durable....i cannot get the aircrapt paint stripper to take the primer off. This wheel must have came from a different bach or something. I think I have been wasting a lot of $$ that i don't have, but i guess we all do that.

Was gonna buy a set that looked similar to that, but could find the right backspacing. It looks reall good! What kind of paint did you use??

Why not just paint the lips on all four wheels? I assume you could find a paint that is close to the alloy color and then clear over it. Might be a lot of masking, but may be worth it. I would also suggest some wet-sanding to get rid of the orange peel from the clearcoating.

sorry, after finding that one wheel was cast different i kinda scraped the poject and kept my original wheels. I think i actually like my stock ones better.....I have been seeing a lot of bling bling cars around here that looked very similiar to the ones that i painted. AZ is notorious for show and no go! haha. I may at some point just have them powdercoated black, not really sure. Maybe somebody would want to buy my set and get creative!
