My Temporary suspension solution until spring: Your thoughts?

I'm planning on installing mid travel on my taco next spring, around march once the snow and gnarly salt and crap goes away... I haven't heard a definitive answer on KING shocks and how they deal with winter, which is why i'm waiting.

Right now I have some very worn out OEM shocks on my Taco.

My friend said he would give me his stock bilstiens and c/o's with ~20,000 miles on them for free, so I'm looking for a mid-range replacement rear shock to live with for a few months. Obviously there is no point in buying bilsteins as I'm going to be buying 5150's in the spring. But I need something like a procomp or rancho to make the back end more tolerable until then.

Please let me know what you would do for rear shocks.

Get that over the es9000? Isn't the only difference that the 9000's are gas charged?

I have the 9000's all around. The price difference is not bad. They are decent shocks.

edit: Yes they are gas charged
