Is My Head Gasket Going! Help!

Hi guys, I just got home with a new M1 filter and 5 quart M1 to change my oil. I opened the filler to fins the back side has a nice layer of whiteish sludge, not thick but there. Could my head gasket be going or could it be that my rig hasnt been driven that much over the last 3 months? I run M1 full synthetic and the oil that Im changing has about 4,400 miles on it and has been in there since the end of september. Let me know what you think, I hope its just condensation from the odd wheather...

if the rig hasnt been drien for awhile it is very possible thyat it jsut accumulated water or condensation in it.. change the oil, and check it often.. also see if it has proper coolant level

What's the dip stick look like? What did the oil after the change look like? You could have your anitfreeze checked for carbon?

if its the 3.0 and it hasnt been recalled on the campain that toyota had, the i would bet that would be your case, just keep checking the oil, when you drive it also you would be able to notice a considerable lack of power resulting from the lack of compression when a head gasket gets ready to go. or in my case it just gave it up.

The oil that came out was clean, the dip stick is shiny silver and the coolent looks and tests as new, I think it was just condensation under the cap. My 3.0 is one of the early 88's I am 99% sure it wasnt affected by the head gasket failures...but I could be wrong! Ill keep you posted, if its the head gaskets then its time for headers and the 153,000 mile over haul!!!
