Doesn't quite work like that. The weight thing is not for actual horsepower. It comes from drag racing where it is said that losing 10lbs is LIKE adding 1 extra horsepower.

I used Peel & Seal all over the interior of my rig...best thing I've ever done...just for grins I used Dynomat in a part and used Peel & Seal in another and the results were exactly the same...just get some Peel & Seal, the weight didn't have any effect on my mileage...after the 33's it will take a big jump for me to really care enough about it. I'm still gettin about 14.

sound from the rear underside of truck? might it possibly be the exhaust pipe contacting the cross member? I had an older toy pickup that did that (granted the exhaust was moved slightly due to a minor traffic accident). It would rattle going over a jarring bump / hole.

Yeah, what Vince said has happened to me before too...one of my exhaust hangers somehow came loose and everytime I went over a bump I would hear a clunk coming from the rear of the rig...took it to my welding class and welded it back together and everything works fine now.

And as for the tin can noise, it just sounds like something is loose underneath the truck, but I don't know what. Thanks again.
....Or it could be your spare tire, check if it has too much play. Perhaps it hits your exhaust which in turn rattles something else-get under there with a rubber mallet and start tapping away. It could be a long process of elimination.

the rear clunk could be spare tire stuff???

like the chain or cable bouncing against the spare tire rim?

or it could be the exhaust lol..i'm sure my 4runner will make all kinds of rattles and noises when i take it for it's first drive =(

Yotalaz personally I commend you for searching, some might not, but I think it is the better way to go. It lets people know that you are actually searching. Kudos. So, I guess you are only damned if you do, or is it don't?

I just mentioned this same passenger seat back noise to a friend this week. If a 5 year old thread had answer for me I would have been happy to see it.
