MY A/C is too cold! But nice!
It was 90 and humid today.
Used the A/C the first time other than checking it out when I bought my '99 last January and it's too cold.
Even on low.
I guess I shouldn't complain.

I've complained about my '00 not being cold enough and each time they test it, it checks out ok. I find that it takes a lot longer to cool off than my '90 did. Plus, at idle (a.k.a., sitting in traffic) the A/C can barely keep up.

LOL, that is the first time I have heard anybody complain about an A/C being to cold. Welcome to one of Toyota's trade marks "The A/C" Open a window a little bit and don't have it on recirculating air. Pull the air from the outside.

R-134 cools to about 4 degrees warmer than R-12.
If it is getting "too cold" consider yourself very fortunate. It is usually the other way around.
R-134 is pitiful, I took one of my trucks to Mexico and had the R-134 converted back to R-12. Now it's very nice..
I find it interesting that the Tree-Huggers have us driving around in hot cars - while everyone else in the world can still use R-12.

Though it was during a humid T-storm so the sun wasn't out.
I do have a regular cab which could make a difference.
As far as the recirculating air mode I have the lever to the left.
Don't remember if that recirculating or not.
I guess I'm lucky.
Let's see how long my luck lasts.
As far as R-134 goes...I changed over to it on my '69 Corvette.
I use a Max Cold booster and the A/C works very nice.
It is a old design system.Though hoses and compressor is new.

I think from my recollection you want the lever to the left. Have fun w/ your yota.
