Compared to mine, your's doesn't look that bad. Both of my rear fenders were worse than your's. The rocker panels had holes all throughout. The tailgate was gone. The front fenders were hardly there. Even my front crossmember was toast. I started cutting, grinding and removing all the bad stuff and welded in new pieces. I'm coating everything with Rust Bullet (like POR15) and filling in any gaps/holes with bondo/glass. I have new fenders for the front. It's not done yet, but getting there. If the frame is good, I'd say give it a go and git er done. It'll take some time and patience, but, it can be done.

I put up 10 pics of before, during, ongoing. That RR fender I just got done with last night but haven't taken and pics yet. Those I posted will give you an idea though, and show you how bad mine was.

You can find more info on the Rust Bullet at www.rustbullet.com
Most of the repair panels I put in I tacked them about every inch or so, ground down the welds for a flatter finish, and I'll finish it up with bondo, then sand that smooth. The welding can be a pain. If the metal is too thin or the welder set too high it'll burn through. But it's not really that hard though, just tedious. Maybe you know someone with a welder that could give you a hand or a crash course and let you borrow the welder?
