i dont really need to lift my truck any more but i was just wondering if theres anything more i could do to my 91 pickup. it already has the rancho kit and 3" body and im running 33s. i bought the truck like that and noticed there is no blocks in the back, so if i threw some blocks in the back it would give me like another like 3" in the back but how do i get the IFS up to match the back.anyone know some cheap ideas. i like how mine is now but whats wrong with a little more.

also there is a toyota shop close to me selling some used NWOR headers for 200 bucks. i havent bought them becuase i dont have the shop or time to put them on and i called the shop that put my flowmaster on and they wanted at least 800 to install them. should i buy them and just put them on myself or what. and i wasent sure of the NWOR also i rather get downey but the price was right for the NWOR. so what do you guys think

4" suspension plus 3" body. Why would you need 3" blocks in the back?? 10" is WAY too much for IFS. If you need more look into the ball joint spacers and match it with shackles or something in the back. Or better yet save your money for an SAS.

With IFS you're not going to gain anything by going more than what you have. Just going to be more dangerous and not too great off-road.

 

im ifs however and going to be raising more... but mine is a 4x2... so it still wont be that high.. the plan is for downey lower strut frame, 3.5" extended arms, along with my current 3" bl and 4" spindles allowing 35s... will be the ultimate prerunner style but still streetable... where i do most of my high speed jaunts...

 

From that pic I don't see 4" lift plus 3" body lift. I have 4" + 3" and I can clear 38s - if there's only 33s in that pic then he doesn't have 7" total. Could the 'racho kit' be torsions? That would explain everything.

 

Ball joint spacers would be the way to go: http://www.sdori.com/ if you all ready have a full suspension lift, if you don't then the 4" suspension lift would be the best. But be careful not to over extend your CV's with the ball joint spacers, especially if you don't have manual hubs.

 

the Rancho kits aren't 4"s. I think they run like around 2.5" or 3"...could be wrong though

 

thats what i thought to when i bought the truck, it didnt look like 4" suspension but i think the rancho kit is 2.5 or 3 thats why it dosent look that tall. i know its a 3" body for sure.

 

Can you post some pics of the front end? That will help a lot.

 

as for my truck with current 31s and 7" of lift, im a 4x2, so my truck was a lot lower than the 4x4 ever was... with my 7" of lift, its still not as high as a 4x4 stock
