Misfire - ECU Bad?
Hello all. New member here and new to the Toyota world. I need some input. Sorry for the long post but I want to give you detailed background.
New to me 2001 Tacoma 2.7l 4x4 auto trans, 206,000 miles, started missing. All plugs are good and confirmed spark through the plugs. All coils good. Compression is good with 180+ on all cylinders. Pulled all injectors and bench tested. All work as they should when activated with a 9 volt battery and all spray the same pattern. Injectors are good.
Injector no. 3 is not clicking (determined by a listening device) with engine running. Confirmed 12v to one side of the injector. Noid light gets no reaction when plugged into no. 3 wiring harness with engine running. Signal wire from no. 3 injector connector to the ECU is good. Continuity test confirms.
The question: Could the problem be anything other than the ECU? Parts house code reader tells me what I already know - misfire on #3, replace injectors. I don't know how the computer knows when to send the signal to the injector, but could a damaged or very dirty reluctor wheel create such a problem? I have no reason to believe it is damaged - just trying to troubleshoot.
I appreciate any insight and assistance.

Reluctor wheel? Dont think injectors involve those. Usually solenoids.
Its possible to have continuity but still poor or high resistance. Ohms check both the injector and the wiring between that and the ecu. And verify reliable ground.
Did you have batt voltage to the injector when ignition on engine off or running?
