Question mirror compass

i have a 97 limited 4runner and it does not have a compass and temp display in the rearview mirror. i was wondering if any later years of the third gens had this feature so i could possibly just switch them? i really like the look of them and am always getting lost so i need one. i have seen the Wayfinder products that have a small unit that displays the info but i like the factory look in the mirror. thanks

but if im not mistaken, isnt the stock mirror connected to the maplights unit and not onto the windsheild?...if so then how did you deal with the factory mirror and the hole it would make?

i looked into this too, you just have to buy a "button" and glue it to the window, then the wires will run up into the hole from the stock mirror. Anyone find a good mirror to buy? All the ones I have looked at are huge compared to the stock one, like 1-2 inches bigger. Just dont know if it would look out of place, certainly would be something to get used to
