Master window switch swap questions

As is so common in our rigs, the passenger window finger switch is bad in the master panel of my 97. So in thinking about replacing it, I wondered if I could swap in a whole new master panel from a slightly newer 3rd gen with the auto up/down switches, or replace just the individual switches with the fancy new ones.

On a related note, can I put an auto switch in to replace the rear window switch in the console too? I roll it down with the key fob a lot, and it would be nice to have an auto up I could hit as soon as I get the key in the ignition. It would also help differentiate the ECT and rear window switches.

If you have the EWD`s from what ever years your working on can solder and re pin plugs .

I can`t stress having the EWD`s enough !!

You should be able to figure it all out.

Don`t plan on it being plug and play Toyota liked to change connectors and wire colors between the years.
