I have a 92 4Runner and in the 92 year they made a change to the 4Runner.
3.0 * 11/87-8/92 4Runner
3.0 * 8/92-95 4Runner

few of the changes i have found so far are the water pump and timing belts are slightly different.
So how can i tell which month my 4Runner was built.

 

When I used to work for Toyota there was a way of telling the month by the VIN, however, it has been 7 years and unable to remember what the scheme was...
You might try creating an account with toyota.com using your VIN, that is if they still have it, it *might* tell you more information.. I also think Carfax.com will tell you month also..

I'm pretty sure mine was built in December '89 and I think I know that from reading it on the inside of the driver's side door jam.

Could just be a Canadian 4Runner thing though...
