ok i just climbed under the dash of my friends 01 4runner and looked at the trac computer. theres 4 connectors from the bottom its the 3rd 1 up (white connector between 2 black connectors). pin 26 is empty. according to the diagrams i posted, connecting it to ground should in theory do the same as the trac off switch, will repost after trying.

ok, bad news. i ran a wire to simulate the trac off switch last night on my boys 01 4runner and got no change. so back to the drawing board. i think the computers are different between the 2wd and 4wd and the 4wd doesnt have the circuits to have trac off. so my new plan is hook up with my friend that programs and builds computers to share knowledge and hopefully come up with something
