All the 4th Gens are autos and they are faster than the 3rd gens. More power

So it doesn't really count as it isn't apples with apples comparison.

I said stock 4Runner.

So S/C doesn't count, but a S/C V8 4th Gen will whip the 3rd gen S/C. You might try to take on Biff's Runner, it is rumered to be whickedly fast!

No manuals after 2000. No 2.7s after 2000 either. The window sticker shows that the auto 2.7 gets better gas mileage than the manuals, eventhough it's only 1 mpg on the highway.

Some truck mag had a compro between a SC'd Taco and a SC'd Frontier a while back. Stock, the Taco ran 16.8 and the Frontier ran 17.1 or some crap. Both were 5 speeds. SC'd, the Taco whooped the Frontier with a 15.9 ET. I think this is pretty accurate because my old 95 SI, which ran 15.4 all day long with full interior and exhaust attached, got to race a SC'd Taco at a street light. I had my friend in the car though, so I think my ET increased slightly. I beat the Taco by 1 car length to about 70 and then we both shut down. I could hear the SC'r whine, and I talked to the guy about it.

Anyway, add a tenth of a second or two for a 4Runner, and that should be accurate.

I would guess a stock 5 speed 3rd gen with 4.10's could run about 16.5 - 17.0. Knock another second off with a SC'r, and then another .2 - .5 with fuel mods.
