Lower Control Arm Squeak?

My driver's side lower control arm seems to be squeaking. I couldn't figure out what it was when it was faint, but it seems to have gotten quite a bit worse, and now this is my first guess as to what the noise is.

On the third gens, is there a bushing in there? Are there bushings in there that are replaceable? I almost feel like I saw a diagram of the lower control arm removal, and there was not any kind of bushing to speak of, but somehow, that seems unlikely.

Initially it sounded like metal clanking when I'd hit a bump, but over time, it's sounded more and more rubber like and now when I hop up and down on the bumper, it's pretty noticeable.

Thanks,
Bill

Have you checked to see if the bolts have loosened up?

I have, and that didn't do anything.

Ok, now at full turn to the left, the noise happens as well. I am perplexed to say the least, and am looking forward to taking some things apart this weekend to see if i can lick the problem.

I have a 2002 tacoma and having the same issue how ever I think its my upper A arms. I went away for a week and a half and went to work and was trying to assume that all that noise was form somebody else.
I have sprayed some breakfree on them and it shuts up for about a week or two. then I spray some more until I can figure out my plan of attack. Spray some oil something heavier then w40 on the bottom arms drive it for a day and then spray the top arms see if you can pin piont which one is squeaking.
Does any body know if some one makes grease able front arm bolts. I know its popular with the leaf springs just never did to much with the IFS stuff other than my SAWs
Thanks also for anyones help.
Mark

Right now I'm at a complete loss. I took my suspension apart to put in my thicker spacer, and no more squeak. What I did get was a fancy new noise when I turned left to right.

I posted about it on another thread.

When I took the skid plate off, that noise ceased to happen too. I've no idea what any of them were, but I have some other work to do before I put my skids back on, so I'll be interested to see if it does it when I bolt them back up.
